Membership Fee

Membership is free!

Volunteer

SJ is a volunteer group, as such you will not be paid for your time or services.

Mileage to and from your home address to event locations will be reimbursed monthly.

** General meetings and practices are not covered for reimbursements

Japanese

Due to all meetings being held in Japanese, a minimum of basic conversation-level Japanese is required for membership. We would love to help you continue improving your language skills through conversation!

Attendance

Please be prepared to volunteer at at least two (2) events during the year. General meetings and practice lessons are NOT included in this number.

General meetings and practices are NOT mandatory.

Most meetings and practices are held at Ashford Crossing II Office Building in the Japanese Library (1880 S Dairy Ashford Rd, Houston, TX 77077)

Supply Rental

SJ can and will supply anything required for demonstrations so you are not required to purchase anything for demonstrations.

All supply rentals are free for SJ members.
